About the clinical research (trials) information search portal
The Clinical Research Portal was established in March 2008 and is a search site designed so that patients, the general public, and researchers are able to cross-section search information about clinical research (trials) from the registries of four institutions; Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (jRCT), the University Hospital Medical Information Network Center (UMIN-CTR), the Japan Pharmaceutical Information Center (JAPIC), and the Japan Medical Association Center for Clinical Trials.
The National Institute of Public Health, the institutes listed above, and the Japan Primary Registries Network, an institute for the registration of clinical research and trials in Japan established and run by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare Health Policy Bureau Medical Research and Development Division, were all recognized as World Health Primary Registries by the World Health Organization in 2008.
The clinical research and trial information displayed on this website has also been submitted to the World Health Organization and is accessible through the World Health Organization's International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP).
