Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Changes in blood oxygenation, antioxidation, inflammatory cytokine (IL-6, IL-8, IL-18), endotoxin, adiponectin, counts before and after cPED

Secondary Outcome

1. Incidence of adverse events.
2. Changes in blood test data before and after cPED.
3. Changes in severity assessment scores before and after cPED.
4. Number of days in ICU.
5. 28-day survival or discharge survival.

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: >= 18age old
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: The severe acute pancreatitis patients whose physician presume that plasma exchange is effective.
• Exclude criteria: Patients deemed inappropriate by the study director.
