Intervention(s)

1. No protein ingestion
2. Protein ingestion 30g/day
3. Protein ingestion 60g/day

Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: 6 minute walk distance :6MWD
• Secondary Outcome: muscle strength of quadriceps, maximal oxygen consumption : VO2max, body composition, blood samples, post operative complications, post operative hospital days

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: >= 20age old
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both

Include criteria

Patients undergoing elective surgery of following diseases
1. esophageal, gastric and colon cancer
2. angina pectoris and valvular heart disease
3. lung cancer
4. osteoarthritis of the hip and knee

Exclude criteria

1. Patients who did not give consent to participate in this study
2.Insufficient understanding due to dementia, etc.
3. Impossibility to carry out the exercise
4. Dysphagia
5. Milk constituent or apple allergy
6. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
7. Active inflammation and infection
8. Pregnancy
9. Immunosuppressive drug or steroid use
10. Patients under 20 years of age at the time of enrollment
11. Judgment that it is inappropriate by the doctor
