• Intervention(s): topical instillation of 0.5% trehalose or saline in addition to regular medication for a month after trabeculectomy

Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: quantitive analyses of anterior segment OCT findings of morphology of filtration bleb after trabeculectomy
• Secondary Outcome: intraocular pressure

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: >= 50age old
• Age maximum: <= 80age old
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: patients with primary or secondary open angle glaucoma
• Exclude criteria: patients with angle closure galaucoma, eyes with previous history of trabeculectomy
