Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: The questionnaire was an excerpt from the "Scale of Difficulties in Cancer Nursing for Nurses," and was used to evaluate communication, medical treatment and responses, and end-of-life care.
• Secondary Outcome: The diagnosis, age, sex, physical findings, test results (blood tests, imaging tests, etc.), nursing records, percentage of patients who underwent sedation for pain relief, percentage of patients who underwent PCT intervention, duration of sedation, target symptoms, drugs used, and the decision-making process of patients and their families for patients who underwent sedation that corresponds to "administration of sedatives for the purpose of alleviating treatment-resistant pain."

• Age minimum: Not applicable
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Include criteria: The target audience is primary nurses who have received sedation, which is defined as "the administration of sedatives to relieve treatment-resistant pain."
• Exclude criteria: Sedation is not recommended if opioids or antipsychotics cause decreased consciousness. Nighttime administration of sleeping pills for treatment-resistant non-painful insomnia is also not recommended.
