Intervention(s)In the second survey, university students were asked to respond to "Zylowska, L. (2012). The mindfulness prescription for adult ADHD: An eight-step program for strengthening attention, managing emotions, and achieving your goals. Boulder: Shambara Pubilication. Lydia Zylowska/Hiro Ohno and Arimi Nakano (Supervisors) (2021). Mindfulness training based on "Mindfulness for Adult ADHD: An 8-step program for strengthening attention, managing emotions, and achieving your goals Kongo Publishing" once a week for about 40 minutes per session, for 5 weeks. The program will be conducted once a week for five weeks.

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeADHD tendency scale: ADHD in Adulthood Self-administered Symptom Checklist, 18 items (Kessler RC, Adler L, Ames M, et al, 2004) Sustained attention: 12 items of the Attention Concentration Skills subscale of the Everyday Attention Experience Questionnaire (Shinohara, Yamada, Kanda, & Usui, 2007) Selective attention, divided attention, and attention switching: 18 items of the Active Attention Control Scale (Imai, Kumano, Imai, & Nekken, 2015)
Secondary OutcomeThe Mindfulness Scale: 16 items of the Southampton Mindfulness Scale Japanese version (Kamiji, in press)

Include criteriaSelection Criteria Persons who meet all of the following criteria will be included in the study. Survey 1: Questionnaire survey 1) Age 20 years or older 2) No persistent physical or psychiatric symptoms 3) Have a good understanding of the explanations and give written consent. Survey 2: Mindfulness training 1) Undergraduate and graduate students 20 years old or older who belong to Kagawa University 2) No persistent physical or mental symptoms 3) Have fully understood the explanations given and have given written consent.
Exclude criteriaExclusion Criteria The following persons shall be excluded 1) Those with regular hospital visits or medication 2) Other persons deemed inappropriate by the principal investigator
