Is candy sucking exercise with a device effective for children with developmental disabilities?

Intervention(s)The intervention method will be ABA design. First, set a period of not using the device for one month, and then set a period of one month for intervention using the device, and perform 5 minutes x 3 times a day. Finally, set a period of one month when the equipment is not used.

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeMaximum voluntary tongue pressure, Lip closure pressure, Oral diadochokinesis, Voluntary tongue movement, Candy sucking test
Secondary OutcomeHead angle with sitting and standing posture, Questionnaire of an incompetent lip seal

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

Age minimum>= 2age old
Age maximum<= 6age old
GenderBoth
Include criteriaPreschool children suspected of having oral dysfunction or oral habits by going to a development support office in Soja City, Okayama Prefecture, and conducting oral function tests and interviews
Exclude criteriaPreschool children with normal oral function Preschool children with physical or intellectual disabilities When there is a request for non-participation from the children himself or his / her guardian
