Clinical research on establishing a quantitative method for estimating pain using electroencephalography

Intervention(s)The experimental thermal stimuli of 30 degrees to 50 degrees are appiled to the forearm of the research subject using the thermal stimulator.

Outcome(s)

Primary Outcome1. EEG data from healthy subjects and chronic pain patients will be converted to digital format using an AD converter (electroencephalograph) manufactured by PaMeLa Inc. and transferred to a general-purpose PC. PS will then be calculated based on the company's algorithm and displayed as an objective evaluation result. 2. Subjective evaluation of pain in healthy subjects and chronic pain patients will be performed using a VAS recording device.

Include criteria1) Individuals who have received a sufficient explanation of the study and have given their voluntary written consent after fully understanding it. 2) Individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of consent (regardless of gender)
Exclude criteria1) Those with a history of epilepsy or neurological symptoms 2) Those who are deemed inappropriate as subjects by the principal investigator or co-investigator (hereinafter referred to as the principal investigator, etc.)
