Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Relationship between the labial transmucosal morphology of the superstructure and the amount of change over time in the labial hard and soft tissue height at the labial side of the implant body.
• Secondary Outcome: Relationship between the labial transmucosal morphology of the superstructure and the thickness and height of the labial tissue of the implant body.

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: Not applicable
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: Patients who underwent implant treatment in the anterior maxillary region and were fitted with a final superstructure during the study period from January 2011 at the Department of Oral Prosthodontics, Osaka University Dental Hospital, and CBCT imaging was performed to evaluate the progress of treatment at the time the final superstructure was fitted and approximately one year later.

Exclude criteria

Patients who are habitual smokers and are under treatment for diabetes mellitus.
Patients with unclear measurement data due to artifacts.
