Effects of Tea ingestion on COVID-19

Intervention(s)Subjects who give informed consent receive one of the following test beverage (#1 to 3) according to the classification. #1 Green tea: "Ohi Ocha Koi Cha 600 mL (ITO EN. LTD.), 2 bottles per day (for 4 days). #2 Black tea: "TEAS' TEA darjiling straight 285 mL (ITO EN. LTD.), 4 bottles per day (for 4 days). #3 Barley tea: "Kenko Mineral Mugicha 600 mL (ITO EN. LTD.), 2 bottles per day (for 4 days).#1 Green tea: "Ohi Ocha Koi Cha 600 mL (ITO EN. LTD.), 2 bottles per day (for 4 days).

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeChange in symptoms (body temperature, SpO2, complaints)
Secondary OutcomeChange in viral RNA quantity in nasopharyngeal swab.

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

Age minimum>= 20age old
Age maximum<= 75age old
GenderBoth
Include criteria1 Patients who test positive for SARS-CoV2 by PCR or antigen quantification (including both inpatients and outpatients). 2 Patietns who give written consent for enrollment in the study (including both male and femail). 3 Patients aged 20 to 75 at the time of the informed consent.
Exclude criteria1 Patients who are diagnosed as having a decline in cognitive ability by a doctor. 2 Patients who are made ineligible for the study by a doctor.
