Educational effectiveness of salt reduction guidance focusing on self-care agency of people with hypertension in annual health check-ups at workplaces

Intervention(s)The first health guidance will be conducted using a radar chart created from the results of the SCAQ-30 pre-health guidance questionnaire to visualize the subject's self-care agency. The first health guidance will cover the condition of hypertension, the bad effects of hypertension on the body, and the mechanism of salt intake on the increase in blood pressure Explanation. With reference to the subject's self-care ability, show the subject how to reduce salt intake according to his/her life, think together about the efforts the subject can make, and share the contents of the guidance. Follow up by e-mail or phone call one month and two months after the health guidance.

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeThe "Salt Check Sheet "created by Tsuchihashi (2020) is used as the main evaluation item for salt intake;it consists of 13 items and scores 0~3 points according to the items, and the total score is evaluated on a 4-point scale. Higher scores indicate higher salt intake. Permission for the questionnaire was obtained from the creator.

Age maximum<= 65age old

Include criteriaPersons with systolic blood pressure of 130 mmHg or higher or diastolic blood pressure of 80 mmHg or higher, regardless of whether or not they are taking antihypertensive medication, at the regular health checkup in the 2021 fiscal year.
Exclude criteria(1) Persons whose doctor has determined that it is difficult to conduct the survey due to an illness for which they are undergoing treatment (2) Persons who have undergone medical examinations but are on leave at the time of the survey (3) Others whom the principal investigator deems inappropriate as research subjects.
