Study of the effect of caffeine consumption on the efficiency of surgical closure

Intervention(s)The research subjects (surgeons) are divided into two groups and suture pig skin scar over two days, day1 and day2. Group 1 performes the procedure after drinking caffeinated coffee on day1, and day2 after drinking non-caffeinated coffee. Group 2 performes after drinking caffeine-free coffee on day1 and day2 after drinking caffeine-containing coffee. Patients will be given 250 ml (150 mg total caffeine contained) of Tully's Coffee Barista's Black 390 ml bottle can (60 mg caffeine / 100 ml) or Tsujimoto Coffee Decaf Columbia (less than 1 mg caffeine contained) drip 1 hour before the procedure.

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeThe quality of the suturing technique is evaluated in the following seven points with a five-point scale. 1. patronage 2. speed 3. accuracy and motion 4. knotting 5. needle motion 6. knot quality, 7. suture surface form.

Include criteria1) The 4th and 5th grades medical students in Mie university 2) The 4th and 5th grades medical students who provide written informed consent and would like to participate
Exclude criteria1) Subjects who have learned of suturing methods 2) Subjectss with caffeine addiction or allergy to caffeine 3) Pregnant/potentially pregnant and nursing mother 4) Subjects judged by the principal investigator or coordinator to be inappropriate as a research subject
