Intervention(s) | (1) Based on the methodology of short-term reminiscence, the subject is asked to interact freely on seven questions. The interview should be conducted at the bedside or seated in a chair, depending on the patient's physical condition. Considering consideration for the surrounding patients, the interview should be conducted in a private hospital room whenever possible. (2) A verbatim stipend is prepared from the subject's narrative, key words are extracted, and lyrics are created. (3) The subject will talk about the questions at each intervention and consider whether the lyrics adequately express his/her life. (4) The researcher will suggest to the patient several chord progressions and melodies that have been created and recorded in advance, and the patient will select one that fits the lyrics. (5) The subject listens to or sings the completed song and receives a sound recording of the song in the form of the subject's choice. |

Include criteria | (1) Patients 20 years of age or older (2) Terminally ill cancer patients (3) Patients whose attending physicians have approved the benefit of psychological intervention (4) Patients who have been fully informed about their participation in this study and who have given written consent of their own free will. Inpatients and outpatients are included. |
Exclude criteria | (1) Persons with dementia (2) Persons with hearing impairment (3) Others whose life expectancy is less than one month, or who the principal investigator or co-investigators deem inappropriate. |
