Efficacy of Physical Activity Intervention in Preventing Hospital-acquired disability in Elderly Patients with Heart Failure

• Intervention(s): Subjects will wear a physical activity meter (Terumo MT-KT02DZ Mediwalk walking intensity meter). The control group will be given no specific instructions, but the intervention group will be instructed to set the number of steps and sitting time to be "the number of steps on the previous day + >=15%" and "the sitting time on the previous day + >=25%," with the aim of achieving the daily number of steps of 4900 steps or sitting time of 3 hours at the time of discharge or transfer at home, as the target physical activity on the following day. The following day's target amount of physical activity should be achieved.

Primary Outcome

Incidence of HAD
HAD is defined as a decrease of 5 or more points in the Barthel Index (BI) before hospitalization compared to the value at discharge.

Secondary Outcome

Short Physical Performance Battery(SPPB)
Grip strength
Knee Extensor Strength
Walking speed
Six-minute walk distance or cardiopulmonary exercise test
Body composition(skeletal muscle index, phase angle, extracellular water ratio)

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: >= 65age old
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: Elderly heart failure
• Exclude criteria: Patients with obvious cognitive decline and difficulty understanding instructions
