• Intervention(s): In addition to normal intervention, we will examine the effect of using the "disuse mode" of the General Therapeutic Electrical Stimulator (G-TES) for 20 minutes on lower limb muscle strength compared to the group that only performed normal intervention.

Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Muscle thickness and luminosity of bilateral quadriceps, triceps, and tibialis anterior muscles by ultrasound echocardiography and muscle size
• Secondary Outcome: Age,height, weight, gender, modified Rankin Scale (mRS) before onset, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) at onset, Brunnstrom stage of lower limbs, and ADL assessment (Barthel Index)

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: Not applicable
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: Patients with first stroke admitted to Shizuoka General Hospital

Exclude criteria

Pacemaker users
Patients with blood clots in the lower extremities
History of stroke
Contraindication to electrical stimulation at the discretion of the attending physician
