Intervention(s)Comprehensive rehabilitation conducted twice a day (morning and afternoon) for approximately 20 minutes each time by physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists who work at Tokyo Medical University Ibaraki Medical Center.

Primary OutcomeBarthel index at discharge
Secondary OutcomeLength of hospital stay, medical expenses during hospitalization, 30-day readmission rate, 30-day mortality rate, return-to-home rate

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

Age minimum>= 70age old
Age maximumNot applicable
GenderBoth
Include criteriaThose who meet the following criteria are eligible. 1) Persons who are 70 years of age or older at the time of obtaining consent 2) Persons hospitalized from home 3) Those who have received sufficient explanation and informed written consent of the research subject or his or her family to participate in this research.
Exclude criteria1) Persons whose hospitalization period is estimated to be less than 14 days 2) Persons admitted to intensive care unit 3) Persons who were expected to die at the time of admission and received best supportive care. 4) Persons with uncontrolled arrhythmia 5) Those who have had acute myocardial infarction within 30 days before hospitalization 6) Persons with acute pulmonary embolism 7) Those who have undergone surgical surgery under general anesthesia within 30 days before hospitalization 8) Those who have suffered a limb fracture within 30 days before hospitalization. 9) Any other person who is judged by the research physician to be inappropriate as a research subject.
