Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Comparison of transition values of oxidative stress and antioxidant capacity in cases of extracorporeal circulation using artificial heart lung in cardiac surgery

Secondary Outcome

Analysis of differences in oxidative stress and antioxidant capacity values by site of blood collection
Correlations with blood gas, biochemistry, and blood counts
Relationship to extracorporeal circulatory control values
Relationship to inflammatory cytokines

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: Not applicable
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: A case of extracorporeal circulation using an artificial heart-lung machine in cardiac surgery under general anesthesia

Exclude criteria

Patients who fall under G3a (45 ml/min/1.73 m2) or lower from GFR category (ml/min/1.73 m2) in the CKD Clinical Practice Guidelines 2018 12) issued by the Japanese Society of Nephrology.
Patients who undergo other surgical procedures or complex surgeries
Patients undergoing emergency surgery
When the subject or the subject's family refuses or withdraws consent.
Other cases in which the principal investigator determines that the patient is inappropriate.
