Intervention(s)

Parents of intervention group participate in the Group Triple P, which is developed in Queensland University.
Session 1 (2 hours of group session) Parents concern about the behavioral problem about their children. Factors affecting the behaviors of the children.
Session 2 (2 hours of group session) Ten strategies facilitating mental development of the children.
Session 3 (2 hours of group session) Seven strategies for managing misbehaviors of the children. Combined use of the strategies.
Session 4 (2 hours of group session) Setting the high risk situations and making plans to manage them.
Session 5, 6 and 7 (20 minute individual telephone session) Implementing the plan and make evaluation talking on the phone with the facilitator.
Session 8 (2 hours of group session) Closing the session. Planning for the future possible problems.
Parents in control group receive no intervention.

• Gender: Both

Include criteria

Intervention group: parents whose children have behavioral difficulties who are recruited from fliers or websites
Control group: community panel parents who have some trouble with behavior of children

• Exclude criteria: do not read and write Japanese
