Intervention(s)

Initially, the subjects assigned to the intervention group will use a self-administered checklist to assess the presence or absence of situations related to positive aspects of caregiving. Following this, the TGT intervention will be conducted based on the content of the items identified in the checklist.
Subjects assigned to the control group will receive the usual TGT interventions; however, these interventions are not limited to caregiving-related descriptions.

Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Scale scores for the Dementia Caregiver Positive Feeling Scale 21-item version (DCPFS-21)

Secondary Outcome

Scale scores for The short version of the Japanese version of the Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview
Scale scores for The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: Not applicable
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Include criteria: Family members who are the primary caregivers of dementia patients, have the ability to maintain a diary, and agree to participate in the study
• Exclude criteria: If the health condition of the person being cared for is unstable, or if the participant has difficulty maintaining a diary
