Effects of Neurocognitive Training on Trunk and Lower Extremity Alignment and Speed of Movement in Turning Motion in Rugby Players.

Intervention(s)

Training will be conducted twice a week for 14 weeks, 20 minutes per session.
Training will be conducted in steps of 90-degree cutting movements.
Weeks 1-6: The goal is for everyone to learn the correct cutting motion.
Week 7 onward: Neurocognitive training group will add reaction and working memory exercises in addition to cutting movement exercises. The control group will continue the training until week 14.

Outcome(s)

Primary Outcome

Sidestep cutting include predictive and non predictive tasks.
Kinematics of the lower extremities and trunk from the frontal and sagittal plane.
Cutting movement assessment screening.

Secondary Outcome

Change of direction deficit
The immediate post concussion assessment and cognitive testing
The symbol digit modalities test
Muscle strength measurement of hip abduction
ACL injury incidence

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: >= 15age old
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: Those who reside in Aomori prefecture and practice or participate in Rugby games on a daily basis.

Exclude criteria

The participant with lower extremity injuries or complaints that make it difficult to perform training or assessments.
The participant must have undergone lower limb surgery within the past year and have not yet returned to competition at the time of the study.
