Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: postoperative derilium and depression
• Secondary Outcome: length of ICU and hospital stay, postoperative complications, and changes in telomeres and G-tails due to surgery

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: >= 65age old
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Both
• Include criteria: Patients aged 65 and over, undergoing surgery at Hirosaki University Hospital, who are expected to stay in the ICU for 2 days or more after surgery
• Exclude criteria: Patients who underwent cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, preoperative delirium patients, patients with cognitive impairment, patients with psychiatric disorders, alcoholics, opioid users, dialysis patients, Child Pugh class B or higher liver cirrhosis patients, Heart failure patients with NYHA 3 or higher, patients who refused to participate
