Risk factors for shoulder joint injuries in competitive swimmers

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeMeasurement of scapular retroversion angle at 90 degree and 140 degree shoulder abduction, thoracic kyphosis angle at upper limb elevation, and muscle torque (manual muscle testing) for shoulder flexion, extension, abduction, external rotation and internal rotation.
Secondary OutcomeThe Posterior Shoulder Endurance Test, the scapular dyskinesis test, thoracic rotation angle and shoulder joint range of motion are measured.The questionnaire also asks whether the patient has a history of shoulder joint problems, the movements that cause pain and the degree of pain.

Age minimum18years-old
Age maximum30years-old
GenderMale and Female
Include criteria
Exclude criteriaThose with a history of surgery on the shoulder joint. Those who could not be measured due to pain.
