Intervention(s)

Delirium prevention occupational therapy program
Standard occupational therapy program

Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Incidence of delirium in the first 2 weeks postoperatively (CAM-S determination of presence or absence of delirium)
• Secondary Outcome: QOL (EQ-5D-5L), nighttime sleep time, etc.

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: 80years-old
• Age maximum: Not applicable
• Gender: Male and Female
• Exclude criteria: Patients with difficulty in leaving the bed according to the criteria of the Japanese Society for Bed Leaving Patients who are unable to participate in group programs or ADL exercises conducted in occupational therapy for at least 3 days during the intervention period
