Intervention(s)

A questionnaire survey on attitudes toward caregiving will be conducted among caregivers at facilities that do and do not provide independence-supportive care. Both the questionnaire survey and the interview survey will be conducted among caregivers at a social welfare corporation in Nagaoka City, where the author works. The questionnaire survey will be conducted with 30 caregivers from special nursing homes that provide regular nursing care and 30 caregivers from special nursing homes that provide independence-support nursing care.
An interview survey will be conducted with three veteran caregivers (who have been with the company for more than 10 years) at a special nursing home in Nagaoka City. The interviews will be organized by SCAT to summarize the current status and issues of independence support nursing care. Interview surveys were conducted with three veteran caregivers (employed for 10 years or more) at a special nursing home for the elderly who practice independence-supportive nursing care.

Outcome(s)

• Primary Outcome: Interviews about one hour with three workers at a special nursing home for the elderly that practices Independence Support Care and a questionnaire survey 6 items of other workers Questionnaire survey 6 items to workers at nursing homes for the elderly that do not practice it.

Key inclusion & exclusion criteria

• Age minimum: 20years-old
• Age maximum: 65years-old
• Gender: Male and Female
• Exclude criteria: Significant mental health problems.
