Intervention(s)Patients received Clexane; 4,000 IU S.C. Inj. Kit (Enoxaparin Sodium) x2 daily. 1, short duration group (3days after surgery) Patients received Clexane; 4,000 IU S.C. Inj. Kit (Enoxaparin Sodium) x2 daily. 2, long duration group (10days after surgery)

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomePatients were randomly assigned to receive Low Molecular Weight heparin (Enoxaparin Sodium) for 3days or 10days. Venous ultrasonography was performed after 11days. The end point to with respect to efficacy was the incidence of venous thromboembolism.

Exclude criteriasevere renal insufficiency known hypersensitivity to Enoxaparin Sodium treatment with anticoagulant therapy before surgery generalized bleeding disorder
