Primary OutcomeThe end points were any of cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, unstable angina, fatal or nonfatal ischemic stroke, or coronary revascularization to new lesions.

Include criteria
Exclude criteriaThe exclusion criteria for the study were severe valvular heart disease requiring surgical intervention, plan for coronary revascularization, active infection, and malignant disease. Patients with ACS were also excluded because they had a significantly higher cardiovascular event ratio than that of stable CAD patients.
